Hey backers!

I'm working on the pledge manager, and I'm setting up six unlockable inserts:
folio insert in pink, lime green, and silver
dice bag inserts in pink, lime green, and silver.

I'm trying to balance cost vs reasonably unlocking these colors for folks. So we have two options, and I'd like to hear feedback on how you'd like to see it handled.

There's a poll below for easy feedback!

Option One
These unlockable inserts will be the same price as was offered during the campaign. ($8 for folio, $10 for dice bag)
However, the minimum order needed to unlock the color will be higher. (25 for folio, 45 for dice bag)

Option Two
The unlockable inserts are a little more expensive ($10 for folio, $15 for dice bag)
However, they're more likely to unlock due to lower minimum order (20 for folio, 30 for dice bag)

Phew! It's done!


Thank you all for such a phenomenal campaign. I came into this project prepared to fund aspects out of pocket, but here we are - sitting at the end - and we've unlocked all-new things I didn't even prepare for. Thank you so heckin much for all the support!

Let's recap what we accomplished!

- Itafolios and Ida dice bags funded
- Each bag (folio or dice) comes with THREE inserts
- Inserts come in FIVE colors
- Pin set comes in TWO colorways
- Everyone earned a free mystery pin by hitting 12k!

What's next?

With the preorder store open, that means the pledge manager is about half done! I'll finish up the surveys this or next week, and try to get surveys out by mid-June. Important note: If you're a pay over time backer, no matter when I get surveys out, BackerKit will not send your survey link until your pledge is paid in full.

Tentative Timeline

  • Mid June - surveys out to backers
  • Early August - surveys close
    • Orders will lock, but addresses will not lock
    • Pay over time backers (and folks who procrastinate) can still fill out surveys once I've locked others
  • Early/Mid August - I place orders. 
    • Past this point, updates WILL be sparce. Once orders are placed, there's nothing to do but wait. 
  • November/December - Hoping to have stuff in-hand around this time
  • December/January - Holidays and Pintopia (Both of these will slow me down as giant time sucks haha)
  • February/March - Hoping to have everything fulfilled

Updates

Traditionally, I will post an update every 45-60 days (every other month) or when I have something to share - whichever comes first.

So you should expect updates when I lock orders or place orders with factories. And updates from factories, usually with photos. You'll also likely get an update saying "Hi, still alive. Nothing to report. Talk soon." I provide updates when fulfillment has begun, with photos. And then you'll have a stretch until I announce all fulfillment is complete.

More Stuff to Know

If your payment fails, if you delay filling out your survey for any reason, you will be able to fill it out until everything is fulfilled. Once all packages are shipped, I will close the project. Once the project is closed, no one will be able to fill out surveys, and pledges left will be considered donations. This is nearly a year from now. Please fill out your survey before a year later. Haha.

Final Hours! + New Stretch Goal, can we do it?

Hey backers!

We're in the final hours of The Bag Bazaar, and I'm still coming to terms with how wildly successful this campaign has been.

For the last 30-some hours, I have a special challenge to issue to y'all.

My friend here, their project has funded and unfunded twice now. I'd love to see them funded and stay funded until the end of the event. If Swampy Odyssey is funded when The Bag Bazaar times out and this campaign hits 300% funding (12,000), all backers will get a free mystery pin added to their pledge.
 


Helping reach these goals is as easy as hitting a share button. At the time of my writing this, we're just $88 away from that goal, and Swampy is just barely funded. Everyone getting a free pin is so easily within reach. Let's all give one more community push on social media, hit those share buttons, and finish strong!

Hey backers!!


Here with a couple updates this morning. 🗒️


  • Poll results are finalized!
    • Sage green has been added as a color option for inserts
  • 10k stretch goal
    • Poll results favored more insert colors and another free insert for all bags. There was also a suggestion for a colorway for the pin set. I asked the experts (my lovely wife), and she - without hesitation - said she wanted a black/crimson set. This set also features transparent enamel, so the black should give a smoky look. Mock ups are below, comparing the Day Armory ☀️ and Night Armory 🌑 sets. 
      • The poll is up for the new insert color! The lime green and pink are still available as choices; I also picked up a couple other options from my manu 👀
  • More stretch goals!
    • Colorways for the folio and dice bag tied! So I based the next two stretch goals based on two factors. 1) Popularity. At the time of my writing this, 4 more dice bags have been claimed than folios. 2) The folio has a higher minimum order quantity, so I'd like a bigger buffer before planning a second order folios. That being said!
  • 15k stretch goal 🌟
    • This will unlock a colorway of the ita dice bag! 
      • Color will be determined by a backer vote. The poll will go live when we're ~1k from funding the goal.
  • 20k stretch goal 🌟
    • This will unlock a colorway of the ita folio!
      • Color will be determined by a backer vote. The poll will go live when we're ~1k from funding the goal. 
      • This will also include unlocking a matching colorway for the bag strap. 



With all those updates out of the way, I want to make a quick note about the all-in tier. This was always intended as a one of each tier. With colorways being unlocked, I think we can all agree it's reasonable to not include two dice bags, two pin sets, and two folios with that tier. That being said: exclusive to the all-in tier is a 25% discount on all items added in the pledge manager. That way, if you did actually want a second bag or pin set, all-in backers can obtain those at a discount. (The discount will appear as a manual credit added after you complete the pledge manager but before your card payment is processed.)

Hey backers!


This project hasn't been live for a whole week, yet we've accomplished so much!

  • Bags were funded in just over two hours!
  • We ran out of stretch goals 😱
  • Shoulder/Cross body straps were added for the ita folio!
  • Free printed inserts were unlocked for the dice bags 🛆

Current insert color choices: Black, Icy Blue Purple, and 🥁🥁🥁 Red!

Each ita folio now comes with two inserts of your color choice.
Dice bags come with one insert of your color choice and printed inserts designed by Marachi Studios.
(Remember all-in backers get an insert of each color!)

So what's next?


A new poll is up! I owe y'all one more insert color choice. So vote for your favorite. There's also still a poll up to determine a new stretch goal. 👀
