Surveys are out! + Troubleshooting

Hey friends!

I want to give a bit shout out to folks to sent in feedback about the reward survey. I made some tweaks to improve the experience for everyone, and now surveys are live for (just about) everyone!!

A couple reminders:

1) I will start locking surveys either July 1 or when 80% of surveys are returned, whichever comes first. These surveys do inform what additional color inserts are unlocked, so do fill out your survey early if you care about unlocking those!
2) If you opted for a Pay Over Time pledge, your reward survey will trigger immediately after your pledge is paid in full. Until then, you won't see a survey. Please know that I am over-ordering (a little) for retail, so don't worry about anything selling out before you're able to fill out your survey. :)

Hey backers!

Based on some feedback I've gotten, I've decided to do a couple call outs. Some are just things to know because the Pledge Manager - while great - isn't perfect. Other things are because I'm a big dumb dummy and forgot to mention them. XD

  • Collab Inserts
    • If you backed both this project and my partner project (I did, I need that holster bag), you're entitled to the stained glass insert for your bags!
    • On the project page, I said it would be based on the bag you ordered, and if you got both, you'd have to choose. 
    • The Pledge Manager isn't as elegant as I'd like, and things got too complicated. So I lumped both the collab folio insert and the collab dice bag insert into a single SKU. This means if you backed for both the folio and dice bag and qualify for the stained glass inserts, you will receive both instead of having to choose. 

  • Additional Inserts
    • Regardless of their locked/unlocked status, the quantity of inserts per add-on is identical to the campaign. One insert for the folio or one set of three for the dice bag. 

  • Selecting Pins
    • In the pledge manager, I can put any number of variations. In this instance, 22 variations of enamel pin! However, I can't upload that many photos to the add-on. If you need a clearer guide of pin options, please refer to the campaign page. Adding the image below, too! 
    • And if you're opting for the Night colorway instead, remember it's the same pins, except we're replacing green with red and blue with black. 



And finally:

  • Locking surveys
    • When I lock surveys, it'll be done with notice. This means you're going to get an email from BackerKit alerting you that surveys with lock soon. This is your 48 hour warning to make any changes to your order before it's locked forever.
    • I'll also be posting an update before I hit the lock button, giving you a running start!
    • This is your opportunity to choose something else if an insert doesn't unlock, or add anything last minute. 
    • If an insert doesn't unlock, I'll remove that sku from everyone's orders prior to charging cards. So don't worry about that too much!

Hey backers!


Thanks so much for your quick feedback!
I proceeded with the lower cost/higher minimum order option y'all voted for. And that was the last piece I needed in place before sending the Pledge Manager to BK to review. The survey has been approved, and smoke tests are out in the wild!

If you're one of the lucky folks who got a smoke test, your survey is in your inbox now! Please don't hesitate to reach out if anything is janky. I'm human and can only be so perfect. XD

If there are no major issues, the rest of the surveys will be sent out on Monday. (If there are major issues, they'll likely still go out Monday, just... later. haha)

Surveys will be locked July 1 or when 80% of backers have responded.
I will be (slightly) over-ordering for retail, so I'm not too concerned about running out of pledged items.
However! If you're hoping to help unlock those new insert colors, do not hesitate, because that's also the cutoff to get more things funded!

Quick Update for Feedback (Poll Inside)

Hey backers!

I'm working on the pledge manager, and I'm setting up six unlockable inserts:
folio insert in pink, lime green, and silver
dice bag inserts in pink, lime green, and silver.

I'm trying to balance cost vs reasonably unlocking these colors for folks. So we have two options, and I'd like to hear feedback on how you'd like to see it handled.

There's a poll below for easy feedback!

Option One
These unlockable inserts will be the same price as was offered during the campaign. ($8 for folio, $10 for dice bag)
However, the minimum order needed to unlock the color will be higher. (25 for folio, 45 for dice bag)

Option Two
The unlockable inserts are a little more expensive ($10 for folio, $15 for dice bag)
However, they're more likely to unlock due to lower minimum order (20 for folio, 30 for dice bag)

Phew! It's done!


Thank you all for such a phenomenal campaign. I came into this project prepared to fund aspects out of pocket, but here we are - sitting at the end - and we've unlocked all-new things I didn't even prepare for. Thank you so heckin much for all the support!

Let's recap what we accomplished!

- Itafolios and Ida dice bags funded
- Each bag (folio or dice) comes with THREE inserts
- Inserts come in FIVE colors
- Pin set comes in TWO colorways
- Everyone earned a free mystery pin by hitting 12k!

What's next?

The preorder store is open!

With the preorder store open, that means the pledge manager is about half done! I'll finish up the surveys this or next week, and try to get surveys out by mid-June. Important note: If you're a pay over time backer, no matter when I get surveys out, BackerKit will not send your survey link until your pledge is paid in full.

Tentative Timeline

  • Mid June - surveys out to backers
  • Early August - surveys close
    • Orders will lock, but addresses will not lock
    • Pay over time backers (and folks who procrastinate) can still fill out surveys once I've locked others
  • Early/Mid August - I place orders. 
    • Past this point, updates WILL be sparce. Once orders are placed, there's nothing to do but wait. 
  • November/December - Hoping to have stuff in-hand around this time
  • December/January - Holidays and Pintopia (Both of these will slow me down as giant time sucks haha)
  • February/March - Hoping to have everything fulfilled

Updates

Traditionally, I will post an update every 45-60 days (every other month) or when I have something to share - whichever comes first.

So you should expect updates when I lock orders or place orders with factories. And updates from factories, usually with photos. You'll also likely get an update saying "Hi, still alive. Nothing to report. Talk soon." I provide updates when fulfillment has begun, with photos. And then you'll have a stretch until I announce all fulfillment is complete.

More Stuff to Know

If your payment fails, if you delay filling out your survey for any reason, you will be able to fill it out until everything is fulfilled. Once all packages are shipped, I will close the project. Once the project is closed, no one will be able to fill out surveys, and pledges left will be considered donations. This is nearly a year from now. Please fill out your survey before a year later. Haha.
